Fall Break with Mommy

Mommy took some time off during her Fall break and we had a blast!  Check out the things we've done this week:

Saturday: Mommy and Daddy went to a winery with friends and I got to stay with Mema. We had a blast.

Sunday: Sunday Funday with Daddy, Chris, Pucci and Madden. We watched football and ate donuts. MMMM

Monday: Mommy and I went to the Zoo with Heather and Maddie.  Maddie LOVES saying, "WOW". What a great day! I loved the animals! Kept saying, "My tiger, or My lion".  Good thing I know my animal sounds. They came in handy when I was trying to get their attention.

Tuesday: Lunch with Mema and playtime and errands with Mommy.

Wednesday: Agua Caliente and the park with Mommy and Aunt Kesie.  We got to feed the ducks in the water. They loved my bread! I went running and unfortunately I fell pretty hard and got scraped up. My hand hurt especially but it's ok because I'm tough.  Then after my nap, Mommy and I went to watch Daddy play softball.

Thursday: Pump It Up (it's a place that has TONS of jumping castle areas, slides, and other fun contraptions to play on) with Mommy, Layla and Laura. We had so much fun!!! I was very brave and jumped on everything- I even went down a giant slide all by myself. Layla was scared but I kept telling her, "Is OK Layla. Is not scary.".  She's my best buddy.  Then I went to lunch with Mema and her work friends and then hung out at home with Nenie (that's what I call Bentley).

Friday: Friday Funday on Daddy's day off!! We went hiking up in Mt. Lemmon. The weather was beautiful and there were so many pinecones to play with. I even got to take one home!

Saturday: Pumpkin day!!! Mema and Papa took us to the Pumpkin Patch. The highlight of my day was playing in a huge pile of corn. Seriously! Corn!!! I didn't mean to, but I brought A LOT of it home with me in my diaper. :) We got to pick our own pumpkins and then we picked apples. I pretty much ate my way through the day with apples and kettle corn. We had such a great time but on the car ride home, I passed out! Too much fun for one day I think.

Sunday: It's football day! Daddy and I watched football and played with Nenie while Mommy prepared for my birthday party next weekend. It's going to be Mickey! WOOHOOO!!!

Fall Break was a blast! Can't wait for next week :)

September...almost 2!

Have I mentioned that I am quite the talker now? Well I talk all the time. Sometimes, I talk so fast it sounds like jibberish and you can't understand me. Mommy and Daddy can usually pick out the first and last words.  Lately, I have been using complete sentences. Here are some examples, "No Daddy, I do it."  "Thank you for the crayon Mommy."  "Going to see MeMa, y Papa, y Uncle DD, and Kesie, and Nikki."  Yes, I say "y"... like I'm speaking spanish. I'm bilingual HAHAHA. I can say Hola and Vamos Aqui".  Yes, Go Go Diego has taught me a lot!

I have also become somewhat bossy to my best friend, Bentley (who I call, Nenie).  "Come on Nenie, let's go." or "Come here Nenie, right now."  Good thing he likes me because sometimes I tug and pull on him too. One this is for sure: he loves when I play with him! Sometimes I fly on Mommy/Daddy's back and Nenie barks SOO much! We have a lot of fun together.

 Check out the picture of my new playset. It's huge and we play a lot on it! Nenie loves to run around in the backyard and play with me too.

Still no potty training yet. I'm a great cheerleader for Layla but right now, I'm not that interested. Maybe soon.

You know what!?! It's Daddy's favorite time of year because Football has started. I have my Bears jersey and I'm ready! Every Sunday, I wake up and yell, "It's Football day!!!".  Yes, I know, Mommy is going to have to live with the fact that I love Football too!

Did you know that I know how to use YouTube on the phone? And did you know that I LOVE Cookie Monster now? Oh yes, close to becoming an obsession. He's so funny and I love his song,  "C is for cookies".

Mommy has been planning my 2nd birthday party. It's going to be Mickey themed and she even made my invitations. Mema helped and they did a great job! I can't wait. Stay tuned...

August

Well... August wasn't the best month in the Magnuson household.  Daddy got sick with vertigo and that turned into a terrible dizzy spell that lasted 2 weeks!!! He went to see lots of doctors and they are helping him but boy were those weeks long. He had to lay down and couldn't go to work or even drive.   It was hard but thank goodness he got better!

Before he got sick, he got a playset for me to put in the backyard! He built it and painted it, and then Uncle Pucci came over to help him install it. It looks great in my backyard and I love playing on it! The slide is my favorite but I like the swings too!!

I have had a few spouts with the terrible 2's... not too bad but when I have them, oh wow! The corner I go! Usually I am pretty good about pulling it together but one time, I was really bad for Kelsey! I cried so much that she put me down for a nap. Good thing they aren't too often otherwise my family might not think I'm so cute anymore. HAHA Just kidding :)

I've been learning my colors and Blue is my favorite! I like Red too but Blue is the best! Mommy turns my bathwater different colors and I've learned that Blue and Yellow make green. I LOVE THAT!  My new favorite game is picking out different colored Fruit Loops. Daddy loves playing color games with me! He's really good at it.

I'm also learning my middle name too. Daddy said "Brayden Scott" and immediately, I started pouting and said, "Brayden Scott Corner??".  I guess I thought if I heard my middle name, I was in trouble. Mommy and Daddy laughed and then I realized they were just trying to teach me. Now I laugh when I say my whole name. What a great name I have!

I have so much fun with Layla and Laura. I am still going to their house Tuesday-Thursday and this month, we've been doing a lot of fun activities. We have been going to Kids Gym for playtime. I love it!!! And in honor of the Olympics, we had our own Sahuarita Olympic Games. Check out the pictures below! We had all sorts of different games and I had a blast! It was hot but Layla and I enjoyed our cupcakes at the end. I love my best friend!
