Summer Part 2- July!

As if my summer wasn't fun enough, there's still 1 month left! July was jam packed with fun. Check out what I have been up to:

This month, we had a blast celebrating 4th of July. We went to a BBQ at the Stough's and I played with Maddy, Heather, Amanda, and some more kids! We played with legos and watched real fireworks outside. Daddy and I played with sparklers too! We were very careful but had SO much fun!

I'm getting so big. Big boys don't drink from sippy cups anymore. Now I drink from a real cup! Mommy and Daddy bought Toy Story, Cars, and Me Mouse cups in all different colors and I love telling everyone who is on my cup. If you even offer me a sippy cup or "baba" as I used to call it, I say my favorite word... NO!

I spend three days a week with my friend, Layla and since she is older than me (she just turned 2), it is time for her to learn to use the potty. I have been cheering for her everyday and she's doing so well. In fact, now I've started telling Mommy and Daddy when I went potty.  I pooped in my diaper and immediately told Mommy to come change me.  Then another time, I pulled on myself after I went peepee in my diaper and asked Daddy to change me.  I think I'm learning! I wonder how long until I'm ready for the real thing. Mommy and Daddy bought me a big boy potty so whenever I'm ready, they'll be ready. YAY BRAYDEN!!!!

My friend, Madden just turned 2 and he had an elmo themed birthday party at the Splash Pad. We had so much fun running in and out of the water. Uncle Pucci, Mommy, and Daddy took me and Madden in and out of the water all afternoon. Aunt Kelly even gave me a goldfish at the end of the day.

Funny story about that goldfish: so Daddy decided that the water needed to be cleaned so he put the cleaner drops into the water (with the fish still inside). It was an accident but he may be the reason the fish is no longer with us.  To make it up to me, Daddy took me to the store and let me pick out my own fish. I picked a red beta fish who is now named, Fishy.  I help feed the fishy everyday for breakfast and dinner and now Mommy is in charge of cleaning the tank. Silly daddy!

Mommy went back to work this month. It was very hard for me because I loved having her home, but it didn't take me too long to get back into the routine. My Monday's with Gramps are back on and so are my Friday's with Mimaw. Fun times!!

More swim lessons... I'm gettin' good
 See. I'm telling you, "I peed, I peed" It's a good start

 MMMMM yummy birthday cake
 Splash pad time!
 Playin' with my buddy, Madden
Yes, we each have IPAD's to use (I use Mommy's), but for some reason, we are using each others, not our own.
Aunt Kelsey and Uncle DD put me to bed and DD gave me his hat to wear. I'm a cool kid!
Yes, we'll save this for when we get older. Look how cute Layla and I are together. Best buds!
Cuddle time with Daddy because I don't feel very good.
Nonie and Gramps babysat me and Dustyn and he shared his Spiderman mask. It lights up too!

Video of me singing!

Check out this video taped, May 21st (yes Mommy forgot to post it). I'm singing to you!!!

Summer Part 1- June

Summer Summer Summer... what fun we had this Summer.  June was a very busy month. I started the month with my first vacation away from Mommy and Daddy for 5 whole days. I had a blast with Mimaw, Papa, Kelsey, and Uncle DD. We went for walks, played games, and played with the doggies (there are three now: Bentley, Nikki, and Chanel who I call "Nanel"). It was fun but boy did I miss my parents! When they got back, I was glued to Mommy's hip.

I've just recently discovered my name and now I say it ALL THE TIME! I say it when I do something wrong. And when I'm being funny. I even say it just like Mommy and Daddy... "Brayden, what'd you do?".  It makes everyone laugh so I guess I'll keep it up!

We started swim lessons this month.  Let me just tell you- babies are not meant to be in the water ok Mommy! We did 10 lessons total and I didn't really like it much until the last 4. It's ok though because my parents were very nice and took turns taking me in the water. I may not have liked it in the beginning but I learned that there are some tricks you can do. I learned to blow bubbles, kick my feet and reach for toys. We sang songs and splashed around, played Humpty Dumpty and jumped in the water. My favorite part was going down the slide into the water! Mommy or Daddy would let me go under water just a little and then they'd catch me. That was the best!!! Next Summer, I'm going to swim like a fish but until then, I'll practice at home in my own pool.  Sometimes I even go with Gramps in his pool and we have fun too. Ok, I guess I do like swimming!

I've learned a word that my parents aren't huge fans of. I bet you can already guess what it is.... NO!!! I say No to everything! Even things I want, I say no and then laugh. Mommy figured, if you can't beat me, join me so she's teaching me to say "No thank you" instead. I don't know, it kinda sounds funny but she says it's being nice. I've also been introduced to TIME OUT TIME! When I have my moments, I have to go sit in the corner for 1 minute. Mommy and Daddy walk away and then when I'm done crying, they come and get me. I don't like to be in there so I actually stop crying pretty quickly and then we talk about what I did wrong. I like the end because I give them hugs and say sorry. I'm a really good boy but every "almost 2 year old" has their moments right?

I still love 'toons. My favorites now are: Go Go Diego, Me Mouse, and Pirates.  I also love PBS Kids. Cat n Hat, and Dinosaur Train are my favorites!

Father's day was a great day for the favorite men in my life. Gramps, Papa, and Daddy all got to play with me all day! Mommy, Nonie, and Mimaw made yummy food and we played with Daddy's new camera. It was a great day and I'm glad we got to spend it together.

Mommy, Mimaw, and I took a drive to San Diego to see our family because my cousin Micah is getting married soon and we had a blast! We drove for 6 hours and I was an angel. I slept and then read books and sang songs in the car. Then when we got there, I saw Big Leslie, Uncle Gary, Heather, Barry, Rachel, Charlie, Little Leslie, Aunt Susan, and Nanie. We went to the beach and I played in the ocean. It took me some time but eventually I learned to love it! I was shouting, "Here it comes" and "Ready, Go" as the waves crashed into my feet!  What a great trip!

Daddy's been working so hard on my backyard. Bentley and I like to watch him

I share a lot!!! Here Papa, eat this!
 Mommy and Daddy time!
Happy Father's Day to the best men I know!! Love you Gramps, Daddy, and Papa
